Now that my son, Finn, is getting older, he is being assigned more books to read at school. He is actually a very good reader. He always scores high on his national test in the reading section.
He had to read a certain book, and he asked my wife for her phone. I found that weird, so I waited a few minutes and then went up to his room to check on him.
I found him reading his book but at the same time he had the Audible app, reading the book to him simultaneously.
When I went into his room, I asked him what he was doing. He replied, “I’m reading my book.” Then I asked why he was using the audible app that’s reading the book to him.
His response was that he’s reading the book but is following along with the app. He said it helps him read the book faster.

I told him that he was cheating. He looked at me and then went back to reading his book with the Audible app.
A few days later, I was at my friend's house and told my friend’s daughter, who’s the same age as Finn, that Finn reads and simultaneously uses the Audible app to read the book.
She said that she does the same thing, and actually, all the kids do the same thing.
I have been very skeptical of this new reading method but maybe there’s something to it.
Technology is all around us and provides advantages to our efficiency throughout the day.
Since I started practicing, dentistry has gone through a ton of changes. All of the changes have been ways to improve and streamline the dental process.
Dental offices today are completely digital. We do digital Xrays, models, scans, etc. Most of the dental work is made by computers and printed on Cad Cam printers.

Nowadays we are able to take a photo of a patient’s smile and create a smile on the photo.
Technology has helped with our quality and our efficiency. It’s enhanced the dental industry and enhanced the patient experience.
At Dente, we pride ourselves on State-of-the-Art technology. I’m always getting a new dental toy.
