Every year, the Chicago Dental Society host the Chicago Midwinter Dental Convention.
It’s always held at The McCormick Place in late February.
In the last few years, we have attended together as a team and I really like it. It’s a nice event to go with each other.
Some of us will go to some of the classes, but the part that I like the best is connecting with the vendors of the products that we use.
We will use some products in office and after we have used them for some time, we may notice some inefficiencies in the product. I think it's very cool to get together with our dental assistant, the product developers, and myself to figure out how we could make the product or process more efficient.
When making product in a lab and then using it in real life, people will always experience things that the developers never expected.
I’m always looking for ways to do it faster, without compromising the quality.
Trying to improve will be a lifelong journey for me. That’s how I’m wired.
I’ve been like that my entire life and I don’t see it ever going away.
Actually, everyone on our team has the same outlook on life…get better everyday.
Everyday before we start our day we go over the previous day. We will ask what things went right and then we ask what things do we need to improve on. We ask how we could have handled certain situations better.
Then someone will propose a solution and then we try it out. If that doesn’t work, then we try a different approach.
The fact is, we are always trying to put forth a better product with great service. It’s what we strive for each and everyday.
