Getting the Concert Experience

Last weekend we went to the AC/DC concert at Soldier Field.

To tell you the truth, I was not impressed. It was very difficult to hear the lyrics, and the sound of the instruments was not all that great. Sarah and Finn went with me, and they felt the same way.

I later called one of my friends who also went to the AC/DC concert, and their experience was completely different. They loved the concert.

My friend is an expert concert. This is not an exaggeration, but she goes to a couple of concerts every month. She has gone to concerts all over the United States and has been to every Chicago Venue many times.

When I told her about my experience, she began to pepper me with questions. What section was I sitting in? Which side of the stage was I facing? Were the people in front of me obstructing my view? Since I was outside, was I wearing a hat? How familiar was I with their songs?

All of these things will affect your concert experience and are important to getting the best possible experience.

I never took any of these things into consideration, but that’s because I go to maybe one concert a year, if I’m lucky.

I would not consider myself a concert expert but would definitely consider my friend, Mileen, a 10th degree black belt in concert viewing.

Mileen has been going to concerts since 1984. Her first concert was Rush Grace Under Pressure, and she hasn’t let up since.

Next time I go to a concert I will have Mileen help me with the seating because she is the expert.

Finding experts in any field is essential to getting the best experience.

Dentistry is no different. I’ve been practicing dentistry for over 25 years.

I’ve had my own practice for almost 20 years. I’ve worked on over 6,000 different patients throughout my career. And I could tell you that I’ve seen and done just about everything that could be done in the field of dentistry.

I see every single one of my patients. Our patients are not bouncing around from dentist to dentist. They see the same exact dentist each and every time, and that dentist is ME.

This process is actually a dying model for dental practices.

Dental practices are now becoming very corporate. These corporations are creating business models where the patient is seen by a different dentist each and every time.

Their view is that the patient is not seeing a dentist but rather a dental care system, and seeing a different dentist is not an issue.

This may be true if you're buying a McDonalds hamburger, but it’s not true with dental care. Going to the dentist is scary enough for many people.

Finding a dentist that you trust and that provides consistent care is essential to having a good experience.

This is exactly how we run our office. Consistent care, trust, and great overall experience.
