I always hear great stories from my patients that I love to share with others.
One of our patients, Henry (the owner of Irazu, AMAZING Costa Rican Food) was in New Orleans, visiting his daughter.
This was the weekend of the Super Bowl. They were at a coffee shop and his wife spotted Adam Sandler.
Her son is a massive fan of Adam Sandler, and the wife became very excited.
She went over to Adam Sandler and told him that her son was his biggest fan.
She then asked Sandler if it would be ok to take a photo with her so she could send it to her son.
Sandler then suggested that instead of sending him a photo, it would be ok to call her son.
The wife immediately called her son.
Sandler grabbed the phone and once the son answered, he let him know that he met his mother and father in New Orleans.
He then thanked her son for being his biggest fan.
I love hearing stories like this. We tend to hear negative celebrity stories more frequently, but I personally enjoy the nice ones better.
The fact that Adam Sandler took the time to stop, say hi, and call the son, was a nice touch. He showed that he valued his fans, and it showed the human side. Connection, appreciation, and care.
We, at Dente, always strive to do things similarly. Though I’m not a celebrity, I have run into my patients outside of the office and greeted them, spent time with them and had a connection.
